Good value with the early bird

I signed up for Ship 30 for 30 during their early bird discount period, which saved me a good chunk of money. I was looking for a writing course that wouldn't break the bank but still offered solid content. The price felt fair for the amount of material and the community access provided. It definitely felt worth the investment for someone like me trying to maximize my learning without overspending.

Totally changed my writing!

Ship 30 for 30 is absolutely fantastic! I can't believe how much my writing improved in just 30 days. The headline mastery training alone was worth it. I loved the daily challenge and the feedback loops were so encouraging. I'm telling everyone about this program, you have to try it if you want to write more!

Good program, minor tech issues

I joined the Ship 30 for 30 program last month to get my writing habit back on track. The content ideation system and Atomic Essay templates were really helpful for getting started each day. I found the community access valuable for feedback. My only small gripe was some occasional lag on the platform during peak times, which made submitting essays a bit slow. Overall though, it was a solid experience and good value.

Consistently good writing challenge

This was my third time doing Ship 30 for 30, and it's always been a reliable way to kickstart my writing. The core 30-day writing challenge is still as effective as ever. I noticed they've updated some of the distribution playbooks since my last cohort, which was a nice addition. The community support feels consistent, even with new faces joining. Definitely a program I'll keep coming back to.

Great for building a habit

I purchased the Ship 30 for 30 self-paced writing program to finally get serious about daily writing. The ordering process was straightforward on their website. I received access to all the materials, including the writing prompts library and editing checklists, instantly after purchase. The content on the LinkedIn writing strategy was particularly insightful, much more so than I expected. The dashboard for tracking progress was clear and easy to use. My only minor suggestion would be for more interactive live workshop sessions beyond the initial few, but the pre-recorded content was comprehensive. It definitely helped me establish a consistent writing habit.

Just finished the latest Ship 30 cohort and feeling a bit overwhelmed with where to publish. Any advice on where to start for Atomic Essays?

R Rahul87 3 weeks ago
Hey Priya, congrats on finishing! I found that LinkedIn worked really well for getting initial traction, especially if your niche is business-oriented. You can post directly there and it gets good visibility.

Oh, that's a good idea! I've been thinking about LinkedIn but wasn't sure if Atomic Essays fit the vibe.

D Deepak 3 weeks ago
Agreed, LinkedIn has been surprisingly effective for me too. Just make sure to format them cleanly.

Honestly, just pick one and start. Don't get stuck in analysis paralysis. Medium is super easy to get started with, and you can always repurpose later.

This is probably what I needed to hear. Thanks, Vikram!

I'm a big fan of Substack for building an email list. It's a bit more effort to set up than just posting on a social platform, but it gives you more ownership over your content and audience long-term.

P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
Substack sounds like the next step for me. Did Ship 30 have a module on setting that up, or did you figure it out yourself?

Thinking of joining the next Ship 30 for 30 cohort, but trying to figure out if it's worth waiting for a sale. Does Ship 30 ever do Black Friday discounts or anything like that?

K KavyaR 9 hours ago
They definitely have early bird prices if you catch it when a new cohort opens. I got in with an early bird discount for the last one, saved a decent chunk.

K KavyaR 8 hours ago
It was noticeable enough for me to jump on it. Worth signing up for their newsletter, they usually announce it there.
3
S Sana 8 hours ago
Yeah, I saw that mentioned somewhere. Is it a big discount or just a small one?
4
M Meera 8 hours ago
I wouldn't stress too much about waiting for a huge sale. The value you get from the community and the habit formation is worth the full price anyway, IMO. Just jump in when you're ready.

C coolboy88 7 hours ago
Agreed. The live workshops alone justify it.

S Sana 6 hours ago
That's a fair point, Meera. I'm mostly keen on the habit building.

They sometimes have seasonal promotions, I think I saw a Cyber Monday deal once. But it's not super consistent, usually the early bird is your best bet.

S Sana 6 hours ago
Good to know, thanks! I'll keep an eye out for the early bird.

where do you even enter a coupon code? I saw a referral link floating around but no obvious spot on the checkout page.

R Rosa 1 month ago
Usually the referral links apply the discount automatically if you click through them. If it's a specific code, the payment processor (Stripe usually) will have a box for it near the total.

I Ivy J. 1 month ago
yeah, just follow the link. if it's a direct code, it'll show up during checkout before you pay.

how does this compare to something like Write of Passage? Heard good things about both but not sure which to commit to.

R Rachel L. 1 month ago
Ship 30 is way more about building the daily habit and getting stuff out there. WoP is broader, more about building a whole online presence. Ship 30 is a great intro.

B Beth Osei 1 month ago
Ship 30 is more focused and shorter term. WoP is a bigger commitment and generally more expensive, I think. Depends on if you want to start small or go all in right away.

Does anyone know how much daily time this program actually takes? I'm swamped with work but really want to improve my writing.

N Nick W. 1 month ago
It's designed to be pretty quick, like 30-60 mins a day usually. The essays are 'atomic' so they're short. Some days you might spend more on the lessons though.
5
K Kate Patel 1 month ago
Yeah, I'd say an hour max for the actual writing and looking at the lesson. You can definitely squeeze it in.

hey, was wondering if anyone knows how long you get access to all the course materials after the 30 days are up? tryna decide if i can really commit to the whole month.

B Ben J. 1 month ago
You get lifetime access! It's super helpful cause I went back to a few modules months later.

Is there usually a Black Friday sale for this? Don't wanna buy it now if it's gonna be way cheaper in a few months.

A Amber A. 1 month ago
They definitely do Black Friday sales. I got a pretty good deal on it last year around that time, saved like 50 bucks or something.
5
S Sam Z. 1 month ago
Yeah, and Cyber Monday too, same deal basically. If you can wait, it's probably worth it.

thinking about signing up, but funds are a bit tight right now. any chance of a student discount or scholarships for Ship 30?

A Amber 2 months ago
They totally have scholarships! I applied for one last year and got a partial one. Worth looking into.

A Alex 2 months ago
i think they do student discounts too, or at least they used to. check their site, probably in the FAQ section or somewhere like that.
